Everyone loves a good mystery, right? That’s exactly what happened to the people who stumbled upon this horned creature (or what’s left of it). Apparently, it had washed ashore. What it is? They’re not quite sure. That’s where you come in.
Your writing challenge is to fill in the blank. Make it as fantastic and out-of-this world as you want, or keep it real. Your character could be one of those who found it on the beach, or he could be out at sea–you decide. Whatever you choose, describe what it is he sees (and also whether it’s alive or not) Was it a dragon? An ancient sea monster? An undiscovered species of fish? (Maybe a bird or a plane? Wait, that’s Superman.) You make that call.
If you feel like sharing, I’d love to see where you take this. Link your work to Write, Love, Breathe on your blog and be sure to shoot me a link in the comment section. I’m looking forward to seeing your creativity shine!
Im the object in the sand: If I lay very very still, this scary looking creature with two pale looking limbs attached to them will leave. I need to retreat back to the sea, and hurry up already, Im turning to skin and bones!
